Welcome to our corner full of exchange experiences and insights. Here, we share exchange stories, meet different countries, explore different healthcare systems and research methods so that you can get inspired for your own exchange, or just to experience the exchanges in your own relaxed environment. As you dive into our posts, you might come across a few unfamiliar abbreviations or words. To keep things crystal clear, here’s a quick reference:


These are Belgian exchange students that went on an exchange in another country. They have been through our outgoing selection before going on the exchange.

These are international exchange students that have experienced an exchange in our beautiful Belgium.

Contact Person

The person in your host country that you can contact for any questions about the country. Usually every exchange student has a different CP. They are (medical) students from that country/university.


You can also become one for the incomings in your university.

Standing Committee On Professional Exchange

Our clinical exchanges, here you experience an internship in a hospital of your host country.

Only available for medical students from 3rd bachelor and above.

Standing Committee On Research Exchange

Our research exchanges, here you experience an internship in a lab or hospital. The type of research will depend on the project you choose and get selected for.


Available for medical, pharmacy, biomedical and dentistry students of all years. Biomedical, pharmacy and dentistry students however aren't accepted by every country (more information in the most recent outgoing booklet).

Local Exchange Officer

These are the people coördinating the clinical exchanges (SCOPE) on a local level (LC). You can contact the LEO of your university for more information about the SCOPE program.

Local Officer on Research Exchange

These are the people coördinating the research exchanges (SCORE) on a local level (LC). You can contact the LORE of your university for more information about the SCORE program.
